GAYA HIDUP GEREJA MULA-MULA YANG DISUKAI DALAM KISAH PARA RASUL 2: 42-47 BAGI GEREJA MASA KINI

Abstract

Early church is a prototype of church, even able to become actual pattern of today’s church. Living in worldwide, even in Indonesia context, church requires not only formal admission from government, but also more natural commit from environs, without any intrigue or tendency. This article observes and proposes an early church’s lifestyle in Acts as a model which giving concept of acceptable and favorable church in a society where the church lives. Method of this article is a text exposition, taken from Acts 2:42-47, which shows early church’s lifestyle as a today’s model. From text analysis was acquired two characteristics which becomes model for church: they continually devotes to apostles’ teaching and fellowship. It was also explained, that early church’s lifestyle giving impact of favorable from society surrounds. In conclusion, lifestyle of what early church ever did is able to be followed by today’s church, in order to be accepted and having favorable of society where the church lives.
